When on first Sunday of
September 1999 I went with Mirek (my fiance) to the racial cats exhibition in
Wrocław. I didn’t even think that I would be, so suddenly, an owner of this
exceptional cat. However, I must admit I‘ve been familiar with the race Main
Coon and I knew that some day this “lynx” will appear in our home. When I saw
the three kittens at the exhibition and among them my Belmondo I felt that the
day was coming soon. But we left the exhibition without the cat, although Mirek
had perfectly known, from glints of my eyes, that this cat should stay in
Wrocław. Not in the city but in my home.

- Maybe we should wait and see kittens at other cat-breedings? – I said .I don’t
know why I was trying to convince myself and Mirek.
- O.K but if we don’t buy him now we will have to go to Warsaw to get this cat.
What then? Think it over and be quick, please!
Well, after an hour, when we left the display, I knew that he was right. I
couldn’t get any sleep on this Sunday night. I was angry with myself. I wanted
this cat badly. My cautiousness had been a fatal adviser. I was so anxious when
my Belmondo and his owner were coming to Warsaw.
When we got up on Monday morning there was no need to talk about the matter. I
had decided- this cat or none. It was obvious that instead to work we are going
to Warsaw...to get the cat. We wouldn’t have had to ride 700km if I had followed
my heart.
